Traditional Japanese spinning tops, known as koma, are a popular form of entertainment for children in Japan, just as they are in many other countries of the world. Every top spins in a different manner. The ones with rings spin with a lot of movement, the low center of gravity spin in one spot and the high center of gravity are a good challenge. Handcrafted by Sasahara Mokukoubou located in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Factory was founded in 1970.
